Senior Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps

JatApp is an IT company that creates valuable high-tech products used daily by millions worldwide. The company has also advanced in providing outsourcing services to multiple clients. 

We are looking for an experienced Network/DevOps Engineer for the company's largest product — a cross-platform VPN service. The product is 5 years old, and in the past year alone, revenue growth from it was 97% and continues to gain momentum.

• OS: Ubuntu

• Databases: MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Memcached

• Automation Tools: Ansible

• Web Servers: nginx

• Monitoring: Prometheus, NewRelic

• CI: GitLab

Your responsibilities will be:

• Manage and expand monitoring existing infrastructure

• Develop implementations and tools that provide flexibility to enable a smooth and efficient development lifecycle

• Manage testing and development estimates within the team

• Direct other teams in accordance with infrastructure requirements

• Develop server monitoring automation and architecture to increase speed and uptime

• Develop and maintain assembly and deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.

• Design, configure, track, and maintain both virtual and physical networks, private clouds, and in-house tools

• Interact with data centre providers from around the world to scale capacity or solve production challenges

• Identify, document, and automate repetitive or critical processes to reduce the burden on the systems team

• Monitor the current state, analyze ways to improve and implement the best solutions together with the DevOps team

What you’ll need:

• 4+ years of experience in designing the reliability of objects

• Monitoring experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and others

• Security experience: SSL, cloud security, encryption, VPN

• Deep knowledge of Linux systems: o Ubuntu, performance tuning, bash, Ansible

• Knowledge of network concepts, tools, and technologies (OpenVPN, Strongswan, Wireguard, iptables, ipset)

• Knowledge and experience with DevOps tools: GitLab, HashiCorp Vault, Consul, Serf, Packer, Terraform

• Knowledge of containerization: LXD, Docker, Proxmox / KVM

• Knowledge and experience with databases and accounting: freeRADIUS, MySQL

• Ability to work with different protocols and providers

• At least Intermediate level of English
